Villa San Lorenzo

Umbria, Italy
Sleeps 12 / 6 bedrooms/ 4 bathrooms

A completely renovated, elegant abode, San Lorenzo is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay. On the top of a small hill, it stands out against the blue sky and you are immediately struck by the exterior walls clad in a warm orange colour and by the luxuriant park that is, on one side, crossed by oaks and firs and which, on the opposite side, opens out in a grassy clearing that surrounds the sun-drenched panoramic pool. The interior strikes you for the use of fascinating but essential furnishings which greatly exalt the size of the rooms, make them livable and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The charming lounge with plush sofas scattered around the stone fireplace, with three walls made up of large windows that reveal stunning views that pass from the geometrical figures of the cultivated land to the green wooded hills. You will have an unmissable opportunity to explore two regions, Umbria and Tuscany, known not only for the artistic heritage of cities like Arezzo, Perugia and Assisi, and for the natural scenery dotted with churches and citadels, but also for handicrafted work, like leather and iron for example, and for fine products like olive oil, wines, truffles and cheeses.

Location
Halfway between Montone, a small, perfectly preserved medieval town, unchanged for centuries, and Umbertide, an old 9th century town, San Lorenzo is located in the Upper Tiber Valley in an area of Umbria with an intact natural environment and which, among the many villages, castles and abbeys, hides unique architectural treasures. Towns such as Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello and Spello can be reached in less than an hour thanks to fast roads such as the E45 (the exit for Montone is only 5 minutes away), and Lake Trasimeno, as well, is surrounded by an area combining history, culture and good cuisine and crisscrossed by trails for hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding.x
